Grower Numbers Now Available for Any US Hop Grower!
After requests from new hop growers across the country, Hop Growers of America has worked with industry partners to ensure all commercial growers are able to follow this long-standing industry practice in the US Commercial Hop Industry.  Obtaining a grower number is a free service to the industry, and does not require membership to HGA.

Grower Numbers are available to those who:

  • Are growing hops with the intent of commercial use
  • At a minimum, have a quarter of an acre

To apply for a grower number, email a completed Grower Number Application Form and email it to growernumber@usahops.org

Some computers may require users to download the application form to their computer first to activate the fillable form feature.

2016 HGA Hop Handling Addendum (checklist) is available HERE.  This addendum builds on the GLOBALG.A.P. Integrated Farm Assurance for Combinable Crops standard and is specific to Hop Growers of America.

Field Guide for Integrated Pest Management in Hops - Third Edition Released
Newly released in December 2015, the Field Guide presents current, science-based information on all aspects of disease, weed, and pest and beneficial arthropod identification, biology, and management in a style intended for growers, consultants, and other field personnel. Over 200 color photos are provided throughout the book to aid in identification and diagnosis.  Development of the field guide was a collaborative effort of USDA Agricultural Research Service, Oregon State University, University of Idaho, Washington State University, Michigan State, and several other institutions across the country in response to the U.S. hop industry's need for IPM information in a package more readily applied by producers. Funding for this publication was provided by the Western IPM Program and Brewers Association.  The complete PDF version as well as PDF files of individual chapters are available HERE

US hop growers and crop consultants may order a printed copy by sending $5 per copy to cover domestic shipping and handling, along with your mailing address, to: US Hop Industry Plant Protection Committee, PO Box 1207, Moxee, WA  98936.
